Amado Equine Hacienda is located in Amado, AZ which is about 30 miles south of Tucson. Amado Equine Hacienda is situated on 90 acres, 75 of which are irrigated, along the Santa Cruz River. The ranch is easily accessed from I-19. Directions

Services

Pasture Boarding: The pastures have plenty of bermuda grass through the summer months. In the winter, the horses are supplemented with alfalfa hay. Horses are checked daily. Every two months the horses are treated with a rotational wormer to control parasites.

NRCS Project: Since spring 0f 2007, we have been updating our irrigation and fencing. At this time, our center pivot irrigates 64 acres - all but one of the pastures. The interior cross fences consisting of no-climb fencing is fianlly finished!

We offer training and lessons on a limited basis.

Facilities

In addition to the pasture board, we also offer riding amenities for you and your horse. We currently have a 200' by 150' jumping arena, round pen, roping arena, and a dressage arena in the works. There is easy access to trails and the De Anza Trailhead is adjacent to the property. The De Anza trail opened August 2007 and heads north five miles toward Green Valley.

Riding out on the De Anza trail is a serene experience that takes you away from life's daily stressors.
